Much has happened since my last post. Maybe you are wondering where I’ve been.
Maybe you are wondering about the show at Truro? Ed Knippers selected my drawing “The Monastery” as Best in Show! This is one of the first times I’ve won best in show in a juried exhibition, and it is a real honor to be selected by a jur like Ed Knippers. You can learn more about Ed at his website: http://edwardknippers.com/
The most significant bit I need to inform you about though is that I’m now a studio artist at the Workhouse Arts Center in Lorton VA. I was juried in, in May and started June 1st. You can now see my work on display Wednesdays-Saturdays 11:00am-7pm and Sundays 12:00noon-5:00pm (In building 5, Studio 510B). I’m there working in my studios most days from 11:00am-5:00pm. Let me know if you would like to arrange a time to meet me in my studio. It has been really exciting to meet hundreds of people coming through the arts center! Everyone I’ve talked to has been very receptive and interested in my work. Now that I have a space to make work in I’ll hopefully have some things to show soon!
If you are wondering about my game Water to Water… it didn’t win at Hippodice 2011 (They felt the game was good in many ways but not very original considering it is a tile game etc).
